Our tune up process gives your entire HVAC system a complete checkup. We start by measuring temperatures and airflow at multiple points to establish baseline performance. Next, we inspect and clean the burners, flame sensors, and heat exchangers on your heating side. For cooling, we clean condenser coils, check refrigerant levels, and verify proper condensate drainage.
Electrical connections get tightened and tested for safe operation. The capacitor, contactor, and other key components receive visual inspection and multimeter testing. We lubricate moving parts that need it and replace the air filter if needed. Thermostat calibration ensures accurate temperature control and efficient cycling.
After cleaning and adjustments, we run the system through full heating and cooling cycles to verify everything operates quietly and reaches temperature targets. If we discover worn components during the inspection, we explain the findings and provide repair options before any additional work begins.
Many homeowners pair their HVAC tune up with air duct cleaning service to improve indoor air quality and maximize system efficiency. A clean duct system allows properly maintained equipment to perform at its best.
Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HVAC tune up pricing in LaFollette, LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN typically falls between $100 and $200 for a standard system. The final cost depends on your system type, age, and size. Larger units, heat pumps, and systems with multiple components require more time to service properly.

A standard tune up takes 60 to 90 minutes depending on your system type and condition. Multi-unit systems, heat pumps, or equipment with significant buildup may require additional time for thorough cleaning and testing.
Should I get my furnace and air conditioner tuned up at the same time?
Yes. Scheduling both heating and cooling maintenance together gives our technicians a complete picture of your system health. Some maintenance tasks benefit both sides of your HVAC system, and addressing them together saves time and money compared to separate service calls.
What is included in an HVAC tune up?
Our tune up covers inspection, cleaning, testing, and calibration of your heating and cooling equipment. We check electrical components, test safety controls, measure airflow, verify temperature accuracy, and ensure proper cycling. We replace the air filter if needed and document any repair recommendations.
How often should I schedule an HVAC tune up?
We recommend tune ups twice per year, once before summer cooling season and once before winter heating season. This schedule catches wear and tear from both extremes and keeps your system running efficiently year-round.
Will a tune up lower my energy bills?
A properly maintained HVAC system typically operates 5 to 15 percent more efficiently than an unmaintained one. The exact savings depend on your system age, usage patterns, and current condition. Over time, the efficiency gains from regular maintenance add up to significant savings.
