He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When you call ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling for electric furnace repair, we start with a thorough inspection of your system. Our technician checks the heating elements, limit switches, sequencers, and electrical connections to find the source of the problem. Unlike gas furnaces, electric units rely entirely on electrical components to generate heat, so every connection matters.
For electric furnaces, common repair needs include replacing failed heating elements, fixing or replacing limit switches that control temperature, and addressing wiring issues that cause intermittent operation. If your furnace is older and experiencing multiple failures, we will discuss whether furnace repair makes sense or if replacement offers better long-term value.
We diagnose and fix cooling issues quickly, so you stay comfortable without long wait times.
Every system we install or service is chosen to fit your home’s size and cooling needs.
We’re proud to serve LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN with dependable service and long-term customer relationships.
Electric furnaces are popular in this part of Tennessee because they do not require gas lines and are generally easier to install in homes without existing gas service. However, the older housing stock in Campbell County means some homes still have aging electric furnaces that struggle to keep up during the coldest winter nights. When temperatures drop into the teens and single digits, an inefficient electric furnace works harder and costs more to run.
If your furnace is not heating properly during these cold snaps, it may be a sign that heating elements are wearing out or that the system is undersized for your home. Our technicians understand the heating demands of this region and can recommend solutions that match your specific situation. For urgent heating failures, we also offer emergency furnace repair services throughout the area.
The blower motor serves as your furnace’s circulatory system, moving heated air throughout your Campbell County home. When this critical component fails, you’ll notice reduced airflow, unusual noises, or complete heating system shutdown. Our furnace blower motor repair service addresses these issues with precision diagnostics and expert repairs that restore proper air circulation to every room in your home.
Campbell County’s varying elevations and seasonal temperature fluctuations place additional demands on blower motors, causing them to work harder than systems in more moderate climates. Common symptoms include grinding sounds, overheating, or intermittent operation that leaves some areas of your home uncomfortably cold. Our technicians carry replacement motors for all major furnace brands, ensuring quick repairs that minimize downtime.
Blower motor issues often indicate problems with your home’s ductwork system that may be restricting airflow and causing the motor to overwork. We perform comprehensive system evaluations to identify these underlying causes and recommend solutions. Regular system tune-ups can extend blower motor life significantly by maintaining proper lubrication and electrical connections. When replacement becomes necessary, we can also upgrade your system with advanced air purification technology that works in conjunction with your blower motor to improve indoor air quality throughout your East Tennessee home.
The heat exchanger represents the heart of your gas furnace, transferring heat from combustion gases to the air circulating through your Campbell County home. When this component develops cracks or corrosion, it poses serious safety risks including carbon monoxide exposure. Our heat exchanger repair service combines advanced diagnostic techniques with safety-first protocols to protect your family while restoring efficient heating performance.
East Tennessee’s climate variations create expansion and contraction cycles that stress heat exchangers over time, particularly in older furnaces. Warning signs include rust flakes around the furnace, unusual odors, or visible corrosion on the exchanger surface. Our certified technicians use specialized cameras and gas detection equipment to thoroughly assess exchanger integrity before recommending repair or replacement options.
Heat exchanger issues often coincide with other system problems that benefit from comprehensive evaluation. We frequently recommend professional duct inspection to identify airflow restrictions that may have contributed to overheating. Carbon monoxide concerns make proper ventilation crucial, which is why we also assess your home’s ventilation systems during heat exchanger service. For severely damaged units, complete system replacement often proves more cost-effective than extensive repairs. Many homeowners also choose to upgrade their safety monitoring with smart thermostats that can detect unusual operating patterns and alert you to potential safety issues.
Nothing disrupts East Tennessee winter comfort like a furnace that runs but produces no heat, leaving Campbell County families shivering despite their heating system appearing to operate normally. This frustrating problem can stem from various causes including faulty thermostats, blocked air filters, malfunctioning gas valves, or ductwork issues that prevent heated air from reaching living spaces effectively.
Our diagnostic approach systematically evaluates every component that affects heat production and distribution. The varied elevations and weather patterns throughout LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, and Caryville can create unique heating challenges that require local expertise to resolve properly. We examine airflow patterns, check gas pressure regulation, test electrical components, and inspect heat distribution systems to identify the root cause of heating failures.
Furnaces that fail to heat often have underlying issues with air circulation that benefit from comprehensive ductwork evaluation and cleaning services. Blocked or leaking ducts can prevent heated air from reaching its destination, making your furnace work harder while providing less comfort. We also assess whether your current system capacity matches your home’s heating requirements, particularly important in mountain communities where heat loss can be significant. Many heating problems stem from improper thermostat operation or calibration issues that our technicians can quickly resolve. For homes with persistent heating issues, upgrading to high-efficiency equipment often provides more consistent comfort while reducing energy costs. Regular system tune-ups prevent many heating failures by maintaining optimal component performance throughout the heating season.
ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling provides electric furnace repair throughout LaFollette, LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN.
When your furnace refuses to start despite thermostat calls for heat, you’re facing one of the most common heating emergencies in Campbell County. This complete system failure can result from electrical issues, safety lockouts, thermostat malfunctions, or mechanical problems that prevent normal startup sequences. Our specialized diagnostic service quickly identifies startup failures and restores reliable operation to keep your East Tennessee home comfortable.
Furnace startup problems often occur during the first cold snap of the season when systems have been dormant for months. The temperature variations and humidity changes common in mountainous regions can affect electrical connections, control boards, and safety switches that govern startup procedures. Our technicians use advanced diagnostic equipment to trace electrical circuits, test control sequences, and verify safety system operation.
Startup failures frequently indicate problems with power supply, gas delivery, or air circulation that require comprehensive system evaluation. We examine electrical connections, test gas valve operation, and verify that ventilation systems provide adequate combustion air. Many startup issues stem from dirty or clogged components that benefit from thorough system maintenance and cleaning. Outdated thermostats often cause startup problems, making modern thermostat installation a valuable upgrade for reliable operation. For furnaces experiencing repeated startup failures, we evaluate whether system replacement provides better long-term reliability than continued repairs. Proper annual inspections can identify potential startup problems before they leave you without heat during critical winter weather.
Gas furnaces provide efficient, cost-effective heating for Campbell County homes, but they require specialized expertise for safe and effective repairs. Unlike electric systems, gas furnaces involve complex safety protocols, combustion analysis, and gas pressure regulation that demand certified technician knowledge. Our comprehensive gas furnace repair service addresses everything from minor adjustments to major component replacement while prioritizing safety throughout the repair process.
The natural gas infrastructure throughout LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, and Caryville provides reliable fuel delivery, but gas furnace performance can be affected by pressure variations, seasonal demand changes, and system aging. Common gas furnace problems include burner issues, heat exchanger concerns, venting problems, and control system malfunctions that require immediate professional attention to maintain safe operation.
Gas furnace repairs often reveal opportunities for system improvements that enhance both safety and efficiency. We routinely recommend ductwork cleaning to optimize airflow and reduce strain on gas heating components. Carbon monoxide safety makes proper ventilation crucial, which is why we inspect and clean exhaust venting systems during gas furnace service calls. Many older gas systems benefit from modern thermostat upgrades that provide better temperature control and system monitoring capabilities. For aging gas furnaces requiring frequent repairs, new high-efficiency installation often provides better reliability and significant energy savings. We also recommend regular professional tune-ups to maintain safe gas furnace operation and prevent costly emergency repairs during peak heating season.
A properly sized unit cools every room evenly, avoiding hot spots and cold drafts throughout your home.
When your AC matches your home’s square footage and insulation, it doesn’t need to overwork, helping you save on energy costs.
Oversized systems cycle on and off too often, while undersized ones run constantly. Both lead to faster wear and tear.
Correctly sized units remove humidity effectively, keeping your indoor air more comfortable during LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN’s humid summers.
Proper sizing means less strain on the compressor and other key components, minimizing breakdowns and repair costs.
