When you need a new electric furnace, ThermoSTAT Heating & Cooling starts with a load calculation to determine the right size for your home. An undersized unit struggles to keep your space warm, while an oversized system cycles on and off constantly, wasting energy and wearing out faster. Our technicians measure your home’s square footage, insulation levels, and layout to recommend the correct capacity.
After sizing, we handle the full removal of your old system and install the new electric furnace with proper duct connections, electrical wiring, and thermostat integration. If you are considering other heating options during this process, you might also look into heat pump installation as an alternative that can provide both heating and cooling from a single system.

Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. How long does an electric furnace last?
Most electric furnaces last 20 to 30 years with proper maintenance. Annual inspections, filter changes, and keeping the unit clean help extend its lifespan. If your current furnace is approaching 20 years old, replacement may make more sense than continued repairs.
Is an electric furnace more expensive to run than a gas furnace?
It depends on local utility rates and how often you run your heating system. In areas where electricity costs less per BTU than natural gas or propane, electric furnaces can be cost-competitive. Higher efficiency electric models also reduce operating costs over time.
Do electric furnaces need ductwork?
Yes, most electric furnaces use the same duct system as central air conditioning. If your home already has ducts in place, installation is simpler. Homes without existing ductwork may require new duct installation, which adds to the project cost.
Can an electric furnace heat my entire home?
Absolutely. Electric furnaces come in various sizes and heat output ratings. Correct sizing during installation ensures your system heats your entire home evenly without short-cycling or leaving cold spots in distant rooms.
Heat pump systems provide year-round comfort for homes across Campbell County’s diverse landscape, offering both heating and cooling capabilities in a single, energy-efficient unit. These versatile systems work exceptionally well in Tennessee’s moderate climate, extracting heat from outdoor air even in cooler temperatures and reversing the process for summer cooling. Heat pumps can reduce heating costs by up to 50% compared to traditional electric heating methods.
The installation process involves careful placement of both indoor and outdoor units, with proper refrigerant line connections and electrical hookups. Our technicians ensure optimal positioning to handle East Tennessee’s seasonal temperature variations while minimizing noise impact on your property. Heat pumps integrate seamlessly with existing ductwork and benefit from HVAC tune-up services to maintain peak performance.
Modern heat pump technology includes variable-speed compressors and advanced defrost cycles that handle our region’s occasional ice storms and temperature fluctuations. When properly maintained through regular HVAC inspection services, these systems provide 15-20 years of reliable operation. We also offer whole house humidifier installation to complement heat pump systems, ensuring optimal indoor comfort during Tennessee’s drier winter months when heat pumps can reduce indoor humidity levels.
Ductless mini-split systems revolutionize heating and cooling for Campbell County homes, particularly those without existing ductwork or requiring zone-specific temperature control. These innovative systems consist of outdoor compressor units connected to indoor air handlers via refrigerant lines, eliminating the need for extensive ductwork modifications. Mini-splits excel in Tennessee’s variable climate, providing efficient heating during winter months and powerful cooling during humid summers.
Installation flexibility makes mini-splits ideal for room additions, converted spaces, or older homes in LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, and Caryville where traditional ductwork installation proves challenging or costly. Each indoor unit operates independently, allowing customized temperature control for different areas of your home. The installation process involves mounting indoor units, positioning outdoor condensers, and connecting refrigerant lines through small wall penetrations.
Mini-split technology offers superior energy efficiency compared to traditional window AC installation options while providing heating capabilities that window units cannot match. These systems operate quietly and include advanced filtration features that complement air scrubber installation for enhanced indoor air quality. Regular HVAC maintenance ensures optimal performance, while the absence of ductwork eliminates the need for duct cleaning services, reducing long-term maintenance requirements and improving overall system efficiency throughout East Tennessee’s seasonal changes.
Boiler installation provides exceptional heating comfort for Campbell County homes through radiant heat distribution that warms spaces evenly without the air circulation associated with forced-air systems. These water or steam-based heating systems excel in Tennessee’s climate, offering consistent temperatures and improved indoor air quality since they don’t circulate dust or allergens through ductwork. Modern boilers achieve impressive efficiency ratings while operating quietly and requiring minimal maintenance.
Professional boiler installation involves careful sizing calculations, proper piping configurations, and integration with existing radiator systems or baseboard heating elements. Our technicians ensure proper water pressure settings, safety controls, and expansion tank sizing to handle thermal expansion during operation. Boiler systems eliminate the need for traditional air duct cleaning services while providing superior comfort compared to forced-air heating methods.
The radiant heating provided by boiler systems creates comfortable living environments throughout East Tennessee’s winter months without the hot and cold spots common with other heating methods. These systems integrate well with whole house humidifier installation since they don’t dry indoor air like forced-air systems. Regular HVAC maintenance includes water quality testing, pressure adjustments, and safety system verification. Boiler installation particularly benefits older homes in LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, and Caryville where existing radiator systems can be upgraded with modern, efficient boiler technology for improved performance and reduced operating costs.
