Several symptoms point to a failing or failed furnace igniter. Your furnace making repeated ignition attempts without lighting is one of the most common signs. You might also hear the system clicking repeatedly without ever producing heat. Another indicator is a furnace that runs briefly but then shuts off before your home reaches the set temperature. If you notice the furnace blowing cold air when it should be heating, or if your energy bills spike because the system runs endlessly without producing warm air, the igniter could be the culprit. For gas furnace owners, a yellow furnace flame instead of the normal blue flame may also signal an igniter problem that needs professional attention.

He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our technicians start with a full diagnostic inspection to confirm the igniter is the root cause of your heating problem. We check electrical connections, measure voltage to the igniter, and verify the gas supply is working correctly. Once we confirm the igniter needs replacement, we carefully remove the old component and install a new igniter matched to your furnace model. We test the system to ensure proper ignition, monitor the flame characteristics, and verify that your furnace runs smoothly through a complete heating cycle. If we discover related issues during diagnostics — such as a failing furnace flame sensor replacement — we will discuss those findings with you before proceeding. We also check for gas valve issues and control board problems that sometimes mimic igniter failure.
We diagnose and fix cooling issues quickly, so you stay comfortable without long wait times.
Every system we install or service is chosen to fit your home’s size and cooling needs.
