Some signs point toward a full boiler replacement rather than repairs. Your current boiler is more than 15 years old and running up repair costs. You notice rust or water puddles around the unit itself. The system makes loud banging or rumbling sounds that do not stop. Rooms throughout your home heat unevenly no matter how you adjust the thermostat. Your energy bills keep climbing even though your usage has not changed. You hear whistling or see visible leaks in the pipes connecting to your boiler.

He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our process starts with an in-home assessment where we measure your space, check your existing infrastructure, and learn about your heating priorities. We then walk you through boiler options that match your home size and how you like to live. Our team handles every step from removing your old unit to testing your new system before we leave.
For homes that also need cooling, many homeowners in the area consider a heat pump installation as an alternative to traditional boiler systems, and we can walk you through how each option performs in Campbell County’s climate.
Installation day involves protecting your floors, disconnecting and removing the old boiler safely, and fitting your new unit to your existing pipes and vents. We check for leaks, fill and pressure-test the system, and fire it up to make sure every zone in your home heats properly.
If your home has baseboard heaters or radiant floor heating, the boiler installation works directly with those systems. Many customers also look at radiant heat installation to see if it pairs well with a new boiler for maximum comfort.
We diagnose and fix cooling issues quickly, so you stay comfortable without long wait times.
Every system we install or service is chosen to fit your home’s size and cooling needs.
We’re proud to serve LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN with dependable service and long-term customer relationships.
Campbell County sees cold winters that push heating systems hard for months at a time. A boiler handles this demand well because it produces heat through water rather than moving air, meaning heat stays consistent even during the coldest stretches. Older homes in the area often have radiator or baseboard setups that work perfectly with a new boiler, making installation straightforward in many cases.
Many homes in LaFollette and the surrounding communities were built decades ago with cast-iron radiators. These systems pair well with modern boiler replacements and frequently see efficiency gains of 30 percent or more after the swap. We see this pattern often when we visit homes for estimates and boiler consultations.
Altitude and elevation across different parts of Campbell County can affect boiler performance and venting. Our technicians account for these factors when selecting equipment and designing your installation to ensure your system works reliably at your home’s specific elevation.

These systems offer rapid heating response and lower operating costs compared to electric alternatives, making them ideal for the variable weather patterns experienced throughout East Tennessee. Gas furnaces are especially valuable for larger homes and properties where heating demands are substantial during winter months.
Our certified technicians handle all aspects of gas furnace installation, from gas line connections and venting systems to electrical integration and safety testing. Proper installation is critical for both efficiency and safety, requiring compliance with strict local codes and manufacturer specifications. We ensure adequate combustion air supply and proper exhaust venting, essential considerations in the sometimes challenging terrain around LaFollette and the surrounding mountain areas. Gas furnaces integrate seamlessly with existing central air conditioning systems, sharing ductwork and electrical controls for year-round comfort. For enhanced indoor air quality, consider adding air purification systems that work with your new gas furnace.
