Sometimes repair is the right call. Other times, a full replacement makes more sense. Here are the signs that point toward a new AC installation rather than fixing your current system:
Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our AC installation process starts with a home assessment. We look at your square footage, insulation, ductwork, and your typical cooling needs. This helps us recommend a system that will cool your home efficiently without wasting energy or money.
Once you choose a system, we schedule your installation at a time that works for you. Our technicians remove the old unit, handle any necessary ductwork modifications, and install the new equipment to manufacturer specifications. We test the system thoroughly before we leave to make sure everything is working properly. The job typically takes one to two days depending on the complexity of the setup.
For homeowners looking at different cooling options, we also offer ductless AC installation for homes without traditional ductwork, or homes where room-by-room zone control makes sense. This can be a smart alternative for additions, garages, or older homes where duct installation would be difficult.
We diagnose and fix cooling issues quickly, so you stay comfortable without long wait times.
Every system we install or service is chosen to fit your home’s size and cooling needs.
We’re proud to serve LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN with dependable service and long-term customer relationships.
Campbell County sees hot, humid summers that put serious demand on home cooling systems. When you install a new AC in this region, it needs to handle long stretches of high temperatures and still run efficiently. That is why proper sizing matters so much. An undersized unit struggles to keep up on the hottest days, while an oversized unit short-cycles and wastes energy.
Many homes in the LaFollette, LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN area were built decades ago and may have older ductwork or limited insulation. During your installation, we assess these factors and may recommend duct improvements or sealing to help your new system perform at its best. Making these upgrades alongside your AC installation often costs less than doing them separately later.
Energy efficiency is especially important here. Look for systems with a high SEER rating (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). Higher SEER ratings mean the system uses less electricity to produce the same cooling, which shows up on your monthly utility bills. The U.S. Department of Energy sets minimum SEER requirements, but upgrading to a more efficient model can pay for itself over years of summer cooling in Campbell County.
Proper installation is just as important as the equipment itself. Poor installation leads to higher energy bills, uneven cooling, and a shorter lifespan for your new system. Our technicians follow manufacturer guidelines and local codes on every installation to protect your investment and keep your warranty valid.
