He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The cost of furnace blower motor repair in LaFollette, LaFollette, LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN, Caryville, and Campbell County TN depends on a few things. How damaged the motor is plays the biggest role. A simple fix like a capacitor replacement costs less than a full motor swap. The type of motor matters too. Multi-speed and variable-speed motors cost more than standard single-speed units.
Labor also factors in. Some motors are easier to reach than others, which affects how long the job takes. Your furnace brand can affect parts costs as well. Ask for a clear estimate before work starts so you know what to expect. Getting a quote upfront helps you plan for the repair without surprises.

How long does a furnace blower motor repair take?
Most repairs take between 1 and 3 hours. Simple fixes like a capacitor swap go faster. Full motor replacement takes longer. Your technician gives you a time estimate after diagnosing the problem.
Can I run my furnace if the blower motor is failing?
Running a furnace with a failing motor causes bigger problems. The motor can overheat or stop working completely, leaving you without heat. Call for repair as soon as you notice issues like weak airflow or strange noises.
What’s the difference between repairing the motor and replacing the whole furnace?
If the motor is the only major issue and your furnace is relatively new, repair makes sense. If the furnace is over 15 years old and needs other costly fixes, replacement might be smarter. Your technician walks you through both options.
Does a new blower motor come with a warranty?
Most replacement motors include a manufacturer warranty. Labor from the installing technician usually has its own warranty. Ask about coverage before work starts so you know what is protected.
How can I keep the blower motor working longer?
Change your air filter every 1 to 3 months. Annual maintenance lets a technician clean and inspect the motor before small problems become big ones. Keeping vents clear also reduces strain on the motor.
