Our repair process starts with a thorough inspection to pinpoint the exact problem. We use diagnostic tools to check refrigerant levels, electrical components, capacitors, and airflow. Once we identify the issue, we explain the problem and your repair options in plain language before doing any work.
For many repairs, we find that issues stem from neglected maintenance. Scheduling regular HVAC maintenance catches small problems before they turn into costly breakdowns. Our technicians clean coils, check refrigerant levels, tighten electrical connections, and test system performance to restore your AC to proper operation.
If the repair involves your heat pump or a dual-fuel system, our experience with heat pump repair ensures we can handle the unique components found in these versatile cooling and heating units. We stock common replacement parts to complete most repairs in a single visit, minimizing downtime for your home.
Posted on Lisa Russ2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Matt for his exceptional service. He exceeded his responsibilities by adding a heat pump to my home purchase. Without prior acquaintance, he took the initiative to visit the property and assess the job requirements. On the same day, he contacted me to confirm that he could complete the task within a few hours, providing a reasonable price. I was delighted not only by the affordability but also by his ability to schedule the work for the following week. After searching for a month for someone to undertake this project, I encountered numerous companies unwilling to travel to my area. However, Matt not only accepted the job but also executed it with remarkable skill and efficiency, all while keeping costs manageable. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his company to anyone seeking honesty, quality workmanship, and a customer-first approach. Thank you, Matt, for your outstanding support "Lisa Russ"Posted on Brianne Hess2025-10-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt and his team are amazing! Scheduling was very simple and the person organizing dispatch was courteous. The technician was professional in appearance and behavior. Initially we had scheduled for an annual maintenance which was quoted at $199 but as it turned out we were having problems with our evaporator coil freezing so that was reduced to a diagnostic service call for only $80; that was my mistake for scheduling it as an annual checkup as opposed to a service call so I don't know that the tech was prepared to do cleaning and/or repairs. He did inspect the equipment however, after finding our return vents suboptimal are evaporator coil clogged and potentially a bad capacitor and dirty fan blades and our outdoor condenser was reportedly " very loud but in operable condition with no leaks in the system" he was adamant that we either spend several thousand dollars having them clean the air handler and replacing some maintenance Parts such as the capacitor, cleaning the fan, and replacing the evaporator coil which involves evacuating the coolant, cutting out the evaporator coil from the copper lines and resetting a new evaporator coil in its place. Alternatively we were offered the option to replace the outdoor condenser and the indoor Handler with some modifications being made to the ductwork to improve return air for approximately $9,000. I disassembled the air handler and cleaned the fan and had a technician from another local company come out and look at the system. they disassembled and cleaned the evaporator coil without having to cut the lines and then rechecked the pressures at the condenser and found the improvements in aiflow had raised pressures at the condenser and solved our freezing problem, he also took the time to evaluate our duct work and while not optimal for an older house the system setup is quite common and should be more than sufficient for the requirements of the air handler furthermore they offered to help us find appropriate filters for the returns to prevent the evaporator coil from getting clogged in the future and advised on appropriate filters to use at the air handler. they evaluated the condenser and found that it was no louder than normal and in good working order. How *long* it stays working... we'll see EDIT: after having a discussion with the owner Matt, I understand his point of view about wanting to remove the coil to clean it to prevent potential liability for damage to the lines that looked likely to occur. The options that he gave us a replacing components versus replacing the entire system were reasonable and allowed us to pick from within our interests and budget. It was not high pressure sales pitch or anything like that. but as always folks, if money is tight a second opinion on such a big project never hurts.Posted on Kristopher Herring2025-09-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. AC repair costs in the Campbell County area depend on several factors specific to your system and situation. The type of refrigerant your unit uses affects part costs, as older R-22 systems cost more to service than newer units with R-410A. The specific component that failed—whether a capacitor, contactor, fan motor, or refrigerant leak—determines both parts and labor.
System age matters too. Units over ten years old may have multiple worn components, which can drive up repair costs if several issues surface during diagnosis. Sometimes, especially on older systems, a repair cost approaches the value of a new unit. In those cases, our team provides an honest recommendation on whether air conditioning replacement makes more sense long-term than pouring money into a failing system.
Diagnostic fees typically apply, but we provide upfront pricing before starting any work. Emergency after-hours service may cost more than standard appointments, so scheduling repair early in the cooling season often saves money compared to waiting until a breakdown happens on the hottest day of summer.
We diagnose and fix cooling issues quickly, so you stay comfortable without long wait times.
Every system we install or service is chosen to fit your home’s size and cooling needs.
We’re proud to serve LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and Campbell County TN with dependable service and long-term customer relationships.
Most standard repairs take one to two hours. Complex jobs involving refrigerant leaks, compressor replacement, or extensive electrical work may require additional time or a follow-up visit if parts need ordering.
If your unit is under ten years old and the repair cost is less than half the price of a new system, repair usually makes sense. Units over fifteen years old with frequent breakdowns often cost less to replace than to keep repairing. We provide honest recommendations based on your specific situation.
This usually points to one of several issues: low refrigerant from a leak, a faulty thermostat or sensor, a clogged air filter blocking airflow, or frozen evaporator coils. Our technicians diagnose the root cause so we fix the actual problem, not just the symptom.
Set your thermostat to fan mode to improve air circulation. Check and replace your air filter if it looks dirty. Clear debris from around the outdoor unit. Turn the system off if you hear unusual sounds or smell burning, and call us immediately for safety concerns.
The best prevention is scheduling annual maintenance before summer arrives. Change air filters monthly during heavy use. Keep the outdoor unit clear of grass clippings, leaves, and debris. Report any unusual sounds, smells, or performance changes right away rather than waiting for complete failure.
